Dear IIUM Community,
The Information Technology Division (ITD) wishes to announce the implementation of Single Sign-On (SSO) Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to enhance cybersecurity and strengthen access control to institutional systems.
The initial implementation on 2 March 2026 , beginning with the Staff Portal Application , has been successfully completed . We are pleased to inform you that the next phase will involve the implementation of MFA for the iTa’leem , which is scheduled on 6 April 2026 . Upon implementation, users will be required to complete an additional verification step when accessing the application through the SSO platform.
Please refer to the attached manual for detailed information and guidance on the SSO MFA process. All staff and students are strongly advised to review the manual in advance to ensure a smooth transition and uninterrupted access.
