This course will introduce students to
psychology's theories, research, and applications in the context of culture.
Topics may include methods for studying culture and cross-cultural research in
selected psychological topics such as developmental psychology, cognitive
psychology, psychology of emotion, personality psychology, psychological
disorders, and social psychology. Throughout the course, examples and
illustrations will include cultural differences in Malaysian and international
settings and include Qur’anic verses, Prophetic Hadith, and within the Muslim
community where appropriate to nurture and embody the quality of Insān
Sejahtera.
