Interior Architecture Studio 1 is a foundational course that introduces students to the principles and elements of interior architecture, including Islamic design elements. Through a series of assignments and design projects, students will learn to develop their design ideas. Students will explore distinctive design expressions through conceptual projects, including designing a compact space suitable for two people within a 100-square-meter space typology. To enhance their writing and research skills, students will complete case studies and research. The course also introduces singular issues and minimal intervention related to site context and environmental considerations. Assessment is based on the quality of students' design solutions, their processes, and critical thinking. By the course's end, students will have develop a portfolio of design work that demonstrates their technical and creative skills.
