This course introduces students to the use of Virtual-Reality (VR), Augmented-Reality (AR), Mixed Reality and immersive technology applications in the design and building industries. As visualization is a key component in any architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) practices, as well as in automotive and product design processes, applied arts and design students are expected to demonstrate their visualization technique capabilities even at an undergraduate level. In this course students are taught to build a virtual reality world by using software applications. Human interaction with the virtual reality world is constructed and they will be given the opportunity to experiment with 'what-if scenarios in design, and interact with design processes at different intervals through 3D modelling and immersive environments.
